Last time I wrote to you I was complaining about how hot it was. Well… now it’s downright cold. I was at the golf course teeing off yesterday and the temperature was under 50 degrees. Just like a golfer; always complaining about something.
My health has been a never-ending saga with a bad right knee, much arthritis and now lower back pain. Still have high iron, whatever that means. All I know is that God knows and that’s good enough for me.
Last night was the Harvest Festival and it was a resounding success. I overheard that we had more kids here last night than either of the two previous years. Praise the Lord. It has never been our intent to provide the children with a Halloween-like event. Rather we prefer to provide them with a wholesome alternative in a safe environment where we can control the narrative. I want to thank Kathy and all the dedicated workers that made this year’s event a special time.
So let me say this about that-last Sunday was a special time of fellowship at New Life. The Elders have been burdened by the condition of our society and all that means about our church; about how we respond to that as a Body. Sometimes the best thing we can do is just go and let God do what He does. I pray that this is a new calling for New Life. That we would intensely seek the Lord and when finding Him follow Him with no reservations.
The world is hurting and so is the Body of New Life. Won’t you let Him help you by seeking His healing each and every Sunday.
God bless. See ya on Sunday!
