Guess what, summer is here. Long days with hot temperatures are in our future. But that is okay, soon it will be Fall. As I write this, I have excellent vision out of my left eye and am near blind in my right eye, however that will soon be resolved as I have my second cataract surgery in two days and then I will take some time off.

VBS was a resounding success this year. More kids, more professions of faith and more enthusiasm than ever before. A great big thanks to all who contributed to the program. Well done – New Life!

Things always seem to slow down around here during the summer, but we are still thinking of ways to further our Father’s Kingdom. You will notice some work taking place in the back area of the church property. We are installing a batting cage, reworking the sand area for a volleyball court, adding a second basketball goal to the ramada, and probably lining out a pickle ball court there also. We have a few other ideas, so stay tuned to upcoming changes.

Our fellowships have had a very sweet spirit lately. It seems as if the Lord is ready to move in our Body, but as always, that depends on us. Many call out for a revival and so do I. And while many feel as if a revival is a time of great joy, and it is, it is also a time of the exposition of our sins as we are called to greater purity in the Lord. “Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed.” James 5:16. Are we ready to confess our sins to each other?
