Hello there everybody. Hope you are well. As I write this you can walk around the church and see all the preparations for tonight’s New Life Kids Carnival. After tonight all the workers will get some well-deserved time off and we will begin working on next year’s program. We are thinking of ways that we might be able to reach some more older kids. So, if you have any suggestions, offer them up.

The Shepherd’s Conference in California was an interesting time. With John now with his Saviour, things of course did not seem the same. I thought the presenters did an excellent job in remembering John while not turning him into the focus of our attention. As John would be the first to say, “It’s all about Jesus.”

Here’s a few quotes from John: “The heart can only go as high as it can go deep in theology.” “As the leaders go, so go the people.” “Strong preaching makes soft people. Soft preaching makes hard people.” “The Pastor’s goal is not to please the sheep, but to feed them – not to tickle their ears, but to nourish their souls.” “Faith is the ground in which the flowers of sanctification grow.” And my favorite - “You are the only Bible some unbelievers will ever read.”

The “Turning Point USA Town Hall” that was held here in March was very well received. We look forward to collaborating with them in the future. I pray that they will be able to continue to reach young people for the Lord.

Well, there is a special election, and I just got my ballot in the mail. And while I cannot tell you how to vote, I can tell you to vote. Our government is a God-ordained institution and as such we should all participate in it. Take the time to be informed and participate.
