Well, time for another newsletter. I’ll admit, sometimes I find this quite a task. I usually begin with the idea that I don’t really think I have much of importance to say. But then I pause and consider the Lord and all the blessings He has done and then yes, I have something to say. Like…
The largest congregational numbers in our history.
The largest children’s’ church numbers in our history.
Great crowds for AWANA.
New younger couples in our fellowship.
So yes, I can find something to write about, but at the same time I can assure you that these things have nothing to do with me and everything to do with God. I am amazed at how God can use someone like me to further His kingdom. Lately God has been speaking to me about the need for purity in my life. Sometimes I am such a failure at calling on Him to strengthen me. I feel so overwhelmed by the necessities of the ministry and my feeble efforts to serve Him. At times I feel as if He is far away and yet I know He is right here. If I have been disjointed in my teaching/preaching, please forgive me. And please don’t feel sorry for me. As I look back on this paragraph, I see a lot of “me” and “I”. Maybe that’s the problem.
As we enter this fall season let’s focus ourselves on Christ, Christ alone. Be blessed, we have lots of events coming up. Enjoy the fellowship amongst God’s people.
