Brrrr, it’s cold outside; not really, it is nice out there. Great golf weather! With the change in temperatures come a change in our heating and cooling here at the church. In the past few months, we have added a lot of new heating and cooling systems to our rooms. We still have a few more areas to go, but we are looking to a future when we will no longer have to operate our boiler. That would be wonderful, wouldn’t it?

Yes, we finally finished. The sanctuary expansion is over, and it is great to see some folks spreading out to the back. With the moving of the AV desk into the old freezer we were able to finish the installation of our carpet in the sanctuary, room #2 and the youth room. We have spent a lot of money on building improvements this year. They were all warranted, and money well spent. I want to thank you for giving to the Lord. Our facility reflects our pride in our Father.

AWANA has blasted off with several Wednesday evenings of over sixty kids at the church. What a blessing to hear the young, exuberant voices again. And thanks to all the workers that make that important church ministry possible. The Word planted in young hearts will produce a bountiful harvest one day.

We have an ambitious schedule of events planned. It kicks off with our “Faith and Family Night” with the “Tucson Roadrunners” hockey team and will continue through the beginning of next year. Be ready to lend a helping hand as we fellowship together in the Lord.

I would be remiss if I did not mention the passing of our great brother in the Lord, Ray Vidal. Ray was an incredibly special man. A man of quality and character who loved all around him displaying a heart filled up with the love of the Lord. I, we miss Ray, but we know that one day we will see him again. Until then… as Ray would say, “Bear Down” for Jesus.
